Rewilding

Our land is comprised of 100 acres (40 hectares) of beautiful Mother Nature. We decided early on, that our mission here was to restore the natural habitat. Farming, monoculture & the planting of none-native trees prevented a lot of the native eco system from working well. We continuously work with rewilding experts, our first year was spent with them mapping out the land, and coming up with plans to remove the extremely flammable, none native species, to allow the eco system to naturally recover, and become what it naturally should be. This encourages animals, birds, and so many species of plant. forna and trees to thrive! Now we are in the stage of implementation, and already see such amazing results. It is such a huge passion for us, and we are learning so much along the way!

come along...

As well as retreats, we also host ‘land and lunch’ days, movement sessions nestled in Mother Nature, one to one or small group sessions which can include personal training, meditation & a nourishing lunch. We also plan volunteering days, team ups with others in the area, showcasing the work we do here, and working together. We all need nature, to feel connected to our earth, and to be able to provide a safe haven for both humans and animals is something I have become so passionate about. As soon as people enter this magical Mahalo land, they breathe a sigh of relief, and I love to facilitate that magic.

how to get involved...

See below for upcoming dates on events here at Mahalo. Volunteering days include collection of old irrigation pipes (lunch always provided!), pulling of none native smaller trees, and land tasks, whilst of course enjoying our surroundings.

Land & Lunch days are a chance to truly unwind, be taken care of, and enjoy a beautiful nature walk around the land. We end at our home with a delicious plant based lunch, often with home grown produce picked fresh that day from our food forest!

I also love to host small, intimate retreats. First and foremost, Mahalo is our home, so stand alone retreats are only held twice per year  More information on those here.
